A special presentation at MAX POWER Expo
On November 6, President Donald Trump officially kicked off the MAX POWER aerospace expo. This is a two-day event hosted by NASA at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, scheduled for November 7 and 8, 2026. On this occasion, President Trump was also honored with a gold plaque by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman alongside the Artemis II and III crew. Here’s a look at the key highlights from this event.
Trump takes the stage
MAX POWER Expo includes many thrilling experiences for visitors, including flight demonstrations, space industry displays, meet-and-greets with NASA astronauts, updates on the Moon Base, and more. This event was Trump’s first appearance outside Washington since the midterm elections earlier this week.
After his keynote speech, Trump received a large, gold-colored commemorative plaque. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman handed it over alongside members of the Artemis II and III teams, including Randy Bresnik, Frank Rubio, Victor Glover and Reid Wiseman.

Isaacman shared that the plaque would be placed at the runway, which is the old space shuttle landing strip at the center. Earlier, on August 28, 2026, Trump awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to the crew of the NASA Artemis II mission, which includes commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen.
Trump recalled the ceremony and said, “Three months ago, it was my privilege to award the crew of Artemis II the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.”
The next steps toward the Moon
Trump also laid out a timeline for what’s ahead. He said, “Next summer, Artemis III will carry astronauts into orbit on a complex mission to test the next lunar landers.” He added that American astronauts would walk on the Moon again before his term ends.
Isaacman also shared the same goal, saying, “And we are not slowing down. We will return American astronauts to the Moon. We will build an enduring presence on the lunar surface, a Moon base.”
Trump also shared plans for a giant air show
During the event, Trump shared information on CapeWeek, which is a new air and space show that will be held at the Shuttle Landing Facility. It is scheduled for March 27 to April 2, 2028, and organizers hope it will eventually draw more than 500,000 people a year.
He said, “The Shuttle Landing Facility will be transformed into a 1,900-acre venue that will bring hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, generate billions of dollars in economic impact, and host hundreds of billions of dollars in deals.” He also said it will outgrow the Paris Air Show.
