Standing at 407 feet, Starship is the world's tallest and most powerful launch vehicle ever built. SpaceX has designed the two-stage rocket to be fully reusable, and it claims that it can carry over 100 metric tons to orbit in that configuration. Super Heavy, the rocket's first stage, is fitted with 33 Raptor engines that use subcooled liquid methane and liquid oxygen, while the second stage, also called Starship, uses three Raptor and three Raptor Vacuum engines (larger exhaust section and expansion nozzle). While the vehicle is still in its testing phase, SpaceX's plans of "making life multiplanetary" are centered around it. Starship is, in fact, a big part of NASA's Artemis program and is set to participate in the Artemis III mission in 2027, which will test integrated operations between SpaceX's Starship lunar test lander and the Orion spacecraft.
