The commercial space venture has revealed the roster of five passengers for its next suborbital journey. The crew manifest includes Jeff Elgin, Danna Karagussova, Dr. Clint Kelly III, Aaron Newman, and Vitalii Ostrovsky. A sixth crew member will fly, but their identity will remain confidential until after the mission is completed. This marks a significant milestone for Dr. Kelly III, who previously flew on the NS-22 mission and is now a repeat customer. To date, the New Shepard flights have successfully sent 75 individuals past the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space, including five passengers who have flown more than once.

In addition to the launch details, Blue Origin also unveiled the NS-36 mission patch, which incorporates personal symbolism tied to the individual aspirations and backgrounds of the six crew members. For instance, the patch features The Moon and Earth, signifying Dr. Clint Kelly III’s focus on the future of space travel and commerce. A Mercury capsule is included for Jeff Elgin, serving as a tribute to Alan Shepard's pioneering flight and the fulfillment of Elgin’s own space travel dream. Additionally, the anchor represents Aaron Newman’s passion for exploration and ocean conservation, while a starry sky over a field pays homage to Vitalii Ostrovsky’s origins in Ukraine.

The patch further highlights Danna Karagussova's connection to something greater than herself through the inclusion of the mountains of Kazakhstan. This tradition of personalizing the mission through symbolic patches emphasizes the unique journey each passenger is undertaking on the New Shepard flight. The visual details reflect both the individual and collective goals of the NS-36 crew as they prepare to cross the Kármán line.

The program has already hosted several high-profile individuals since its inception. Previous New Shepard missions have carried celebrities and notables such as "Star Trek" actor William Shatner, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, and pop music icon Katy Perry into the final frontier, as per Space.com.
The New Shepard suborbital flight offers passengers a rapid journey to the edge of space, lasting approximately 10 to 12 minutes from liftoff to capsule touchdown. During this brief window, crew members will experience several minutes of weightlessness and travel beyond the Kármán line, the globally recognized boundary of outer space, located 62 miles (100 kilometers) above Earth. While the experience is well-documented, Blue Origin has maintained silence on the financial side, with the cost of a seat aboard New Shepard remaining undisclosed.

The rocket system itself, New Shepard, is named in honor of Alan Shepard, the first American to venture into space, per Blue Origin. Engineered by Blue Origin from the outset specifically for human spaceflight, the vehicle is a fully reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take passengers on brief, yet transformative, journeys above Earth's atmosphere.
