Expedition 74

Expedition 74

On December 8, 2025, Expedition 74 began a host of scientific experiments aboard the International Space Station, soon after the arrival of the Soyuz MS-28 on November 27, 2025. The Russian capsule brought Roscosmos’ Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, along with NASA’s Chris Williams, to the orbital lab. Initially led by Mike Fincke of NASA, command was handed over to Kud-Sverchkov upon the early return of Crew-11’s Zena Cardman of NASA, JAXA’s Kimiya Yui, and cosmonaut Oleg Platonov due to a medical emergency with Fincke. The full complement of seven crew members was resumed with the arrival of SpaceX’s Crew-12 on February 14, 2026, which comprised commander Jessica Meir, NASA’s Jack Hathaway, ESA’s Sophie Adenot, and Andrey Fedyaev of Roscosmos. Expedition 74 will end in July 2026 with the departure of MS-28, bringing Kud-Sverchkov, Mikaev, and Williams to Earth.
