Watch Artemis II's re-entry, parachute deployment and splashdown from inside Orion

NASA's Orion spacecraft carrying the Artemis II crew re-entered Earth's atmosphere and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off San Diego at 8:07 p.m. EDT on April 10, 2026, in cabin-camera footage taken from the pilot's forward window. The clips show Earth as Orion approached the atmosphere, then re-entry and the deployment of its parachutes. Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and CSA astronaut Jeremy Hansen were aboard, completing the first crewed Orion flight, a nearly 10-day test flight around the Moon that launched on April 1.
