"Bye, ISS": Watch the moment Dragon’s hatch closes as Crew-12 heads home

A bittersweet goodbye as the current ISS crew sees Crew-12 off before the Dragon hatch closes. NASA astronaut Anil Menon shared the moment from the ISS on Wednesday, wishing NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev a safe journey home after 237 days in space. Crew-12 is heading back aboard Dragon after completing their research mission, with undocking marking the start of their roughly 27-hour journey to Earth. The four astronauts are scheduled to splash down off the coast of California at around 11:34 a.m. EDT on October 8. Video Credit: Anil Menon via X
