SpaceX turns Starlink V3 vision into reality on Starship Flight 14

SpaceX once shared a concept for deploying Starlink V3 satellites into orbit. On September 28, 2026, that concept became reality. During Starship’s first orbital flight, Flight 14, SpaceX successfully deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites into orbit. Contact was established with all 26 satellites shortly after deployment through laser links, ground stations, and Starlink user terminals. Each Starlink V3 satellite is designed to deliver more than 1 terabit per second (Tbps) of downlink capacity — around 10 times the capacity of Starlink V2 Mini satellites.
