Tesla's new POV Footage shows 'flying' Roadster pulling off mind-blowing SpaceX thruster-powered stunts

Tesla has shared a new POV clip from its October 15, 2026 Roadster unveil at SpaceX’s test site in McGregor, Texas. The 2nd generation Roadster used SpaceX-derived cold-gas thrusters, which run on compressed air instead of rocket fuel, to hop over a line of Tesla vehicles. Musk has described it as hopping rather than sustained flight. It isn’t the Roadster’s first SpaceX link: a first-generation Tesla Roadster was launched into space on the first Falcon Heavy flight on February 6, 2018. Tesla describes Performance, Thrust, and Rocket versions, with production reportedly planned for 2028. Video credit: Tesla
