Air leak aboard ISS: Are the astronauts safe now?
A worsening air leak aboard the International Space Station (ISS) briefly put part of the ISS crew on evacuation standby as NASA and partners worked to assess the situation.
Five astronauts sheltered inside a docked SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft while engineers investigated the leak in the Russian segment of the space station.
Fortunately, there was no immediate threat to the crew, and normal operations soon resumed. The incident is the latest development in a years-long effort to monitor and repair leaks aboard the aging International Space Station.
