Private Chinese rocket makes history with country’s first successful booster recovery on land
LandSpace’s ZhuQue-3, a privately developed Chinese rocket, successfully landed its first stage on August 19, marking China’s first successful land-based recovery of an orbital-class rocket booster. The achievement also makes LandSpace the first Chinese private company to recover an orbital-class booster on land using landing legs. This is the second time China has achieved a successful touchdown of an orbital-class rocket booster. The first took place on July 10 with a Long March 10B, which made a controlled landing into a net-like device affixed to a ship at sea.
