About StarLust
Hey! I’m Tom Urbain, the founder of StarLust.org. I’ve been fascinated by space and astronomy from a very young age. When I’m not watching space-themed documentaries, movies or TV series, I spend most of my free time in my backyard admiring the planets and galaxies with my telescope.
How It All Began
When we start talking about the universe, stargazing, telescopes, constellations…. It can very easily delve into a complex, technical and scientific conversation. Not everyone holds a PHD in astronomy and we appreciate that the apparent complexity of the subject can refrain some people from attempting to learn about these things.
StarLust is born from a simple idea.
Our goal is to make stargazing more accessible and more enjoyable for everyone. We don’t aspire to turn our readers into rocket scientists, but to simply offer content to people, like us, with a keen interest in astronomy but very little technical background.
Our Vision
As well as sharing the finest astronomemes available on the internet, we hope to inspire curiosity and increase interest about our solar system through tutorials, comprehensive guides, and in-depth gear reviews. Our website encourages amateur astronomer to experience the night sky to its fullest and to look up more often and connect with one of humanity most distinctive trait: exploration.
We hope you find our resources to be helpful, direct, and inspirational.
We have an immense respect for the universe, but an even greater respect for our readers. We definitely consider ourselves lifelong learners. So if you ever have feedback on how we can improve or correct any of our articles, please know that your suggestions will be welcomed with open arms.
